Last Friday night as most of the 68 frog walk attendees headed for the parking lot at the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, I paused with a few stragglers and a couple of the refuge staff to listen to some rubbery-sounding chuckles coming from the marshy edge of the Impoundment (the large shallow lagoon bounded by an embankment).
